Questions and Concerns with Autonomous Vehicles, Part 2 in a Series on The Digital Highway

From National Security to narrative dissembling to lack of proper oversight, we tackle major concerns with the rollout of Autonomous Vehicles.

Voice Of GO(r)D is back with a series within a series, both the second in this run of 5 episodes for National Truck Driver Appreciation Week, and the second in a series expressing questions and concerns with the rollout of Autonomous Vehicle Technology onto our streets and highways.

Rejoining today's show are previous guests James Year and Edward Escobar, along with new guest to the show Scott Douglass, president of America Without Drivers, filling in for AWOD Founder Will Cook.

Today we discuss AVs with regards to National Security concerns, hacking, and cyber terrorism, why AVs are not subject to the licensing and testing requirements of human drivers, Edward’s protests in San Francisco, the problem with Gerontocrats attempting to legislate after the horse has left the barn, the through line between the ‘Driver Shortage’ narrative used by the American Trucking Association and now used by Autonomous Truck manufacturers, and the investors behind it all.

Next week, on Tuesday, September 19th, at 8pm Eastern Time, Voice Of GO(r)D, in conjunction with LostFr8 and the LostFr8 Discord Group, will be hosting an 'Ask Us Anything' live recording on Autonomous Technology within that Discord. You can join the discord for free, and in addition to being able to ask us questions or offer any comments, you will become part of a group of over 500 Logistics, Freight, and Supply Chain professionals engaged in a lively and ongoing conversation about the business.
