That was a great read, but a sad one. As you say, things haven't really changed, at least not enough. Reminds me of a secret meeting I had with a small group of Kingsway owner-ops back in 1980 or so. They were mighty unhappy and aiming to organize, led by Chris Klingsch. They did, but it all fell apart when a small group tried to convince the group to blow up the Nipigon bridge.
There's some gentlemen I know in Australia who have committed to audio a telling of the story of some organized and angry truckers Down Under, once I get the audio from him I'll be re-posting it here.
