That Ottawa trial is sounding more and more absurd, in that I believe one of the prosecutors had no CLUE who Brian Peckford is, or was, during the Ottawa Freedom Convoy. (But hey, the judge stated that the Freedom Convoy is not on trial. Nope... Only Chris and Tamara. At this time.)
The "so-called" Freedom Convoy (as the press enjoys calling "it") was already tried and convicted during "The Emergencies Act Inquiry", a Commission headed by a Liberal party judge appointed by Lord Goodhair his self... 🤡

When the evidence in question was introduced by the defence team, I do believe one bozo from Team Turdeau claimed that there's no proof that the elderly gentleman with the distinctly Newfoundlander accent speaking in the video clip is "Brian Pickford", the former Premiere of Newfoundland, and the last living architect and signatory of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms.
I shit you not.
I could well be mistaken. Read that bit on a stack, and it was heresy because the journalist in question (Trish Wood) could not attend this week's proceedings.

It is true, I was there and the Crown indeed did not know who Brian Peckford was, nor did the cop who was on the witness stand verifying these videos that she had been ordered to download just a day or so before the Emergencies Act was invoked. So, yes there were a few minutes wasted confirming that the man in the video was in fact Brian Peckford. That the judge let it go on for the amount of time it did was also troubling.
I appreciate her work but she’s a little too soft on the criminals. “At least there were no machetes in the streets” no, there was machetes in the arms!
