Everyone was hopeful that Chris Carbert, at the very least, might be with his family for Christmas, but no his bail hearing has been adjourned until January 8th, what utter garbage. Meanwhile Granny Mackay had a launch a pressure campaign for Tony because he was being held in isolation at the Lethbridge remand centre for some18 days after their December 11th court appearance. I guess it worked, he was returned to Medicine Hat. There were no media at Chris's bail hearing. Only Mocha Berzigan. Last week on True North Media, Andrew Lawton had an 'ask me anything' session on his show, and one of the questions was why True North wasn't covering the Coutts Four. He gave a very long bullshit answer, about not having the staff to cover the trial--well there hasn't been a trial yet, so that was nonsense. As well as some other excuses about why they weren't granted bail and oh the publication ban and so on. But it just seemed strange, his whole demeanor changed when answering this question. I just wonder if there is some real taboo going about covering this story. It is weird. I am working on a substack piece on it. I am also writing a email to Lawton about why I thought his answer for True North not covering the Coutts Four was sorely lacking. Once again, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year... and keep on trucking.
I have been following all of these developments from afar and with a feeling of great sadness that these guys are just being abused and forgotten about.
Lawton knows exactly what he’s doing, and why he’s also not doing; there are those in the CPC who are deathly afraid of touching this case, and it goes right to the top.

I agree, deep sadness. I guess that is also why Danielle Smith hasn't touched it with a ten foot pole. I understand she can't get involved as to be seen interferring in the justice system, but can't she at least make a public statement about it. The Western Standard is also mum on it. Very strange, looking forward to your essay. As for Lawton, yet I got the impression when watching him respond to the question about the Coutts Four that something wasn't quite right.
