G’day everyone, just a quick note to let you know I’ll be at MATS, the Mid-America Trucking Show, in Louisville, Kentucky, from Thursday March 30 til Saturday April 1st. MATS is the biggest industry trade show and conflab in the country, if not the world, and this will be my first time checking it out; I would love to catch up with any readers or fans of Voice Of GO(r)D while I am there. Let’s have a chat in person!

There’s all sorts of stuff to see and take in - from your chance to drive a new Kenworth or Western Star, or hear from nerds watching the industry drive itself into a wall while doing nothing to stop it, or maybe taking in some country tunes, there will be something there for everyone with diesel in their veins, even if it is only one drop.

I’ll be hanging out with some boys from FreightWaves, as well as my buddy Long Haul Paul Marhoefer - who I am told will be performing at an off the books event out in the truck parking area for all of us miscreants, loners, and wannabe cowboys. You can find some of Paul’s music here, and if you’ve never heard of Paul before, he was the host, narrator, and producer, of this fantastic Podcast Series called Over The Road.
