Greetings all.
Thanksgiving is coming up this Thursday, and many of you will either be traveling or have a little extra time away from the grind to spend with family; gratitude should abound for all of the blessings The Creator bestows upon us this week.
I’ve been a bit remiss in keeping my fans updated about various appearances I have made with other podcasters and content creators; what better time to catch up than on your holiday road trip or flying time?
Trish Wood is a broadcaster and journalist, formerly with the CBC, and for the better part of a decade, she was a host for ‘The Fifth Estate’, Canada’s equivalent to 60 Minutes. She is now running her own ship, which includes live radio shows, a podcast, and documentary production projects.
Trish has become a bit more clued in to the situation with Canada’s political prisoners as of late, and has asked me to be on both her live Internet Radio Show, and her podcast.
''On The Fringe with Trish Wood' is her radio show, and Trish brought my take on The Coutts story to her listeners on November 12.
This past Friday, Trish had myself, Jaclyne Martin, and Danielle Slettede to discuss the situation on her podcast. We went for the better part of two hours, and given that Jaclyne is the wife of Jerry Morin, and Danielle a good friend to Tony Olienick, a much more human element was brought to the story. If you don’t know what’s happening with this travesty of injustice taking place in Canada, you want to listen to this episode of Trish’s show.

I want to extend a great deal of gratitude to Trish for looking into this matter, and for helping to get the story out; especially so, given that Trish’s former comrades in the mainstream media seem to be maintaining a code of silence about this case, and are failing in their duty of holding power to account.
Another fellow Canadian commentator who I have spoken with recently is Ashley Frawley, a sociology lecturer, ‘Wandering Ojibwe’, and an old school Marxist whose priority is the working class, not whatever fluff is attributed to the cliché about that particular school of thought.
We discussed the class dimensions of the Freedom Convoy protests and the ongoing saga of the men arrested in Alberta.

And on to the Trucking Content!
Regular readers of this Substack (and followers of my various and murdered Twitter accounts) will know that one of my favorite fellow trucking podcasters is a cat named Mike Lombard, who is infamous for his manic TikTok videos -

Mike recently celebrated 100 episodes of his show, The Lombard Trucking Podcast, and asked me to join a group of The Boyz in celebration.
Another great podcast for my fellow Knights of The Road is Trucking for Millenials and they had me on a little while back. Co-hosts Michael Clements and Aaron Dunn (who is also a fellow Substacker) run a tight ship over there, and stay on top of trends and issues in the industry with fresh and legit presentation.
Speaking of Thanksgiving and Trucking for Millenials, the boys just released a new episode with one of the best drivers in the industry today, Mr Chris Thomas, whom you may also know on Twitter as Indietrucker.
Of the many topics discussed, they touch on what it’s like to be a trucker on the road over the holidays.
Chris is full of wisdom, tips, and good advice for those that steer and gear for a living, and you should follow him closely. He will be a guest on Voice Of GO(r)D very soon.
It pays to remember that (nearly) everything on your family’s Thanksgiving dinner table was brought there at one stage or another by a truck. Perhaps you can say a prayer or hold the nation’s truckers in your thoughts for a moment during dinner.
While we are here, thanks again for reading, and for listening to the Voice Of GO(r)D podcast - it is my honor to bring you all of my thoughts and wonderful guests, and am grateful for your attention.
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
