Greetings, fans of Autonomous Truck(er)s.
As you may have noticed, written content has been a bit hard to come by here as of late, though my new podcast is now live, and I hope you have been enjoying it. As always, all I ask of anyone listening is to pass it around to any truckers they know - word of mouth is the only marketing I have (outside of this Substack and my modestly followed Twitter account.)
Every once in awhile I write something that is not exactly related to trucking, and this piece is kind of important, given what is at stake by not nipping this practice in the butt.
Yesterday, my friends at Compact Magazine published a short essay in which I describe the ongoing weaponization of the banking system in Canada, and a man who has been victimized by it for no other reason than having made a complete ass of the government, and one of its parasitical NGO/Foundation client groups.

An excerpt -
Although this was widely understood to be a temporary measure, Trudeau and his finance and deputy prime minister, Chrystia Freeland, made it clear early on that some of the powers would be made permanent. Perhaps the most alarming illustration of the continued effects of the Emergencies Act is the case of Jeremy Mackenzie, a Canadian Armed Forces veteran who hosts the abrasive underground podcast “Raging Dissident.”
The government has yet to finish its torments of Mackenzie. Last month, he revealed that he has been locked out of ScotiaBank, one of Canada’s largest financial institutions, which he had previously used for 30 years. In the two weeks since losing his bank accounts and apparently the mortgage on his home, he has yet to find any other bank in Canada willing to do business with him. While the banks won’t provide any information with regard to their decision, other than MacKenzie “not fitting their risk profile,” it is hardly a stretch to imagine that the powers Trudeau and Freeland made permanent by way of the Emergencies Act are behind his rejections.
My editors at Compact removed some parts of my original draft, probably so as not to face the ensuing harassment from one of the guilty parties behind Jeremy Mackenzie being made into an enemy of the state.
Fortunately, I have also written a chapter length essay on what happened in Canada last year, and the media’s complicity in telling the government what it wanted to hear; in this essay, I name names, for I fear not the wrath of liars and presstitutes.
In the interest of privacy, those whom I have written this chapter for, in a book to be published later this year, and drawn this additional excerpt from, shall remain nameless.
Immediately after Trudeau invoked the Emergencies Act, this invocation was discussed in the Senate, where many people first heard the term ‘Diagolon’, mostly from Senators reading ‘intelligence reports’ which were influenced by an organization called The Canadian Anti-Hate Network (CAHN).
CAHN, in its role as a self-appointed guardian against any expression outside of the progressive Overton Window, had found itself a new bogeyman, in the form of Canadian Armed Forces veteran Jeremy Mackenzie, the founder of ‘Diagolon’. Mackenzie is the proprietor of a podcast called ‘Raging Dissident’, which is very critical of the Covid Regime in Canada, amongst other things. At some point prior to the Freedom Convoy, Mackenzie had an idea he shared with his friends - using a map of North America, he drew a line from Alaska, southwest to Florida, which roughly tracked all of the states and provinces where Covid Mandates were minimal to non-existent, and something approximating normal life had carried on. The friends agreed that this group of states, in a better world, ought to make their own country. In the mind of Jeremy Mackenzie, Diagolon was ‘born’.
…
CAHN are a ‘professional’ watchdog group, jokingly referred to by Political Commentator @maarblek as ‘The Northern Poverty Law Center’, a quasi ‘NGO’ who make it their business to massively inflate the number and influence of various perceived extremist groups. As with these types of organizations in America and elsewhere, CAHN are awash in taxpayer money and are regular advisers to the government -
CAHN has received government funding in the past, including a grant of $268,400 to participate in an “anti-racism action program” from October 2020 to March 2022.
On top of that, CAHN has advised the government on numerous occasions. Records from an access to information request show that it was listed as a Canadian Heritage stakeholder on the Public Health Agency of Canada’s vaccine roll-out round-table.*
In the minds of the folks who run CAHN, any criticism of Covid measures is tantamount to Holocaust denial; thus, a new ‘White Nationalist’ threat had arisen, even though, as always, nowhere in anything Mackenzie has ever said or written down is there anything mentioned, outside the realm of jest, about ethnicity or race; nor does Diagolon, a literal figment of the man’s imagination, even exist.

While we are here, I should point you to Jeremy’s own Substack, where he discusses what brought him to become an Enemy of The State, and his notification that he would be de-banked.
It should go without saying that this new weapon in the war on dissent should be cause for alarm to anyone who enjoys ‘democracy’, such as it is. When the government can tap their banker friends on the shoulder, point to an object of Two Minutes Hate, and then stipulate that this person be completely shut out of the financial realm, we have a problem on our hands. If you think that this new weapon in the hands of the state will only be used for WrongThinkers like Jeremy, you really do need to brush up on your understanding of history and governance. Further to this, anyone on ‘The Left’ with more than a few remnant brain cells should be able to see this tool being used on them by a different government in the future. Alas, that side of the political spectrum have been hitting numerous crack pipes, and their brain cells have been duly vaporized.
You should take the time to watch Jeremy’s testimony at The Public Order Emergency Commission. The fact he had to Zoom it in from jail in Saskatchewan, from where he was later released, makes this all the more Kafka-esque and a real show of Camusian Absurdity.
I also heartily recommend reading fellow Substacker Tammy Robert’s recent piece on Mackeznie, where she documents the shady business behind the charges and his arrest. It should be noted that Mackenzie has never been convicted of any crime, and it seems quite likely that all charges against him are going to be dropped or stayed.
Jeremy Mackenzie is looking at losing the mortgage on the house where his three children live, and being unable to transact in any way we would all take for granted, from cashing a check to buying groceries; especially so in our modern society, where nearly every part of the economy has been digitized, from direct bank deposit for your wages, to using debit cards at the grocery store.
If you would like to help Jeremy Mackenzie and his family, Canadian Twitter Personality Viva Frei has set up a GiveSendGo for him, and you can donate here.
It should go without saying that Justin Trudeau, Chrystia Freeland, The Liberal Party of Canada, and their enablers like Jagmeet Singh and every other member of the NDP, are totalitarians worthy of an Orwell novel, and should be judged and sanctioned as such, with extreme prejudice.
We will return to regularly scheduled commentary on trucking very soon.
"It should go without saying that Justin Trudeau, Chrystia Freeland, The Liberal Party of Canada, and their enablers like Jagmeet Singh and every other member of the NDP, are totalitarians worthy of an Orwell novel, and should be judged and sanctioned as such, with extreme prejudice."
What they've done is repugnant and beneath what's supposed to be a free and pluralist democracy.
No one is safe. Even the ones who believe they have 'nothing to hide'.
With people like the aforementioned running amok flouting the rule of law and all that is decent, they will find something for you to hide.
Proceed with caution my fellow Canadians. These are ideolpogiues. Not your mother's liberals.
